i was lucky to take a photo of this flower at the edge of Henderson Waves last Sunday morning. From what i read, the flower only blooms at 3 am and lasts only a day. The plant (shrub) grows on wasteland, forest edges and swampy areas. It has large leaves and large yellow flowers.
This plant is common in Southeast Asia and during my younger days, hawkers used the leaves to wrap cooked food such as 'kueh' and 'rojak'.

Asclepias Fruticosa 唐棉
This interesting plant belongs to the milkweed family, produces lime green translucent balloon like seed pods with small spikes all over the surface. It can be used in Ikebana which creates interesting visual effects with other forms such as lines and dots.

Yellow gerbera, pink daisies and small white flowers in a basket is a perfect gift for a happy occasion such as birthdays or even for cheering up patients.

Throw in a soft toy for a baby's birthday!
